An amazing coffee machine that enables anyone to make really good coffee.

The Siemens EQ900 plus is a really amazing machine, it is astonishingly easy to use, that enables a novice coffee maker using comfortMode to make consistently good cappuccino, latte, Americano, expresso, flat white and many more coffees with ease. In expert Baristamode you can tweak all the elements of a coffee from % of beans used to the temperature of water. When it arrived some assembly and preparation is required, each step is clearly explained in the manual and following it step by step I was soon ready to begin my coffee adventure. I am a novice coffee maker but I think I have already lost my L plates, it is quite incredible just how easy it is to make good coffee using the EQ900 plus. You switch it on and are presented with a touch screen menu, you select a category (Classics or Coffeworld) and just slide back and forth to the coffee you want. There is a side menu by each choice giving you the option to change bean container and strength, and your changes are saved for next time. Press start and then wait a short while to get a superb cup of coffee.

Wow, what a machine. Get great coffee every time at the touch of a button or, in this case, screen. Simple to operate with a lovely looking touch screen display and fully customisable in Barista mode. Adjust everything from the temperature to the grind size. Automatic rinse function for every cup and automatic de-scaling function. Everything can also be controlled remotely from the app. If you want to prepare a coffee from your bed though, just remember to have a cup in the machine and switch off the automatic rinse function first or it will rinse into your cup. Two coffee bean compartments allow you to have different beans and swap between them for different preferences. Save profiles and favourites for instant access to your preferred settings (up to 10 profiles can be saved so great for an office environment) The milk container, drip tray and water tank are all easily removed for topping up and cleaning and the milk container can be kept in the fridge when not in use. Regular refilling of the bean containers, the water tank and emptying/cleaning of the drip tray and coffee grounds is required but, other than that, it's all automatic. It's a fairly large and tall appliance so check the dimensions and make sure you have the space. I've been playing with this for a couple of weeks now and I'm still experimenting and learning and feel as if I've hardly touched the surface but it's great way to explore the world of freshly ground coffee. Yes, it's expensive, yes it's an indulgence if you're getting it for home use, but it's difficult to imagine a better or more complete coffee maker.

The EQ900 plus coffee machine comes with everything needed to make your coffee shop coffee right at home (you will need to buy your favourite brand of coffee beans as none is supplied with the machine) from opening the box to your first coffee from the machine takes around 20 minutes, the set up is very straightforward all set out in the user manual. I love how you can customise each cup of coffee you make by changing the settings on the large touch screen display from changing the water temperature to how you want the beans grounded. I also like that it has the two bean containers. Using it is as simple as selecting your favourite coffee and pressing start. I can't fault this coffee machine I no longer drink instant coffee at home as the coffee from the machine is delicious.
